Earth Hour

Our family participated in this year's Earth Hour ....

... as our kids insisted that we had to do our share to delay global warming!

... by switching off all lights from 8.30pm. We lighted our tealight candles instead.

... by switching off all the air-con, and used the fan instead.

... by turning off the tv as well. The first for a Saturday night!

... enjoying and playing around in the dark. Little D especially loved it!!

... but we still had our computer on, as my older two kids were training for an important tournament the next day.

By 9pm, we packed everyone off to bed, and called it an early night. Its been a long time since everyone went to bed early. They should do this more often!!

hahahah yes it was fun! we participated in the Earth hour as well. many of my neighbours came out for some socializing. mom's gossiped in the moonlight, dads talked about cars, football and the kids were in their skate scooters! i think this event encourages something healthy!

I am impressed that everyone chipped in and do their bit. Not much but it's a start.

yes Constance, it was fun!!

Iml - like they say: tiny drops make a mighty ocean ~ if everyone does a little bit, it can add up to a lot!

We did a Half-past-SIx one.... We switched off all lights, turned-off the air-cond; but had the fan on while watching telly...heheheh

It's good!! It's amazing how simple pleasures delight us when we get those electrical ones away. It feels good to go back on some primitive conversation and get-together, while helping earth at the same time! =)
