What's up?

I know I have been neglecting this blog, but can you blame me? I have been enjoying these past 2 months.

Well, the husband has been home and devoting more time to his kids and wife ;)
If you havent already worked it out, he took the bite and is now on garden leave, and starts his new job in July!! 3 whole months of family time!!

And we have been exercising quite a bit. He runs, whilst I walk. He does about 8km about 4-5 times a week, and has lost (my guess is) about 15 pounds!! Thats 3 inches off his waist and is now much fitter. I, on the other hand, walk about 2-3 times a week for about 5 km and havent lost a single pound nor a single inch :( but I guess I havent put on any weight either, and I should be thankful for that, considering all the eating thats been going on around here.

Just the other day, the husband asked me: Do you think I really lost that much weight?

Me: Of course, you have!

Him: I dont think I have lost THAT much weight that I can fit into N's shorts!

(Well, I had absentmindedly put my sons shorts into the husband's cupboard!)

With the man's weight loss which we are all celebrating, the kids tried to work out the diameter of their father and decided that using his waist as circumference, they would be able to work that out. Unfortunately they couldn't agree on what to use for pi - 22/7 or 3.1415.... How decimal places should they go?

And little D wanted to know if Papa had any blubber!!

Have a great week!

From KK to Kuching, after I put back 5 kg of the original 20 kg lost. After 5 months of consistent "gyming", I lost 3, and still have 2 to work OUT!

I was talking to a male colleague yesterday telling him that I seemed to sweat profusely during gym time these days. He remarked, "monopause". What a defeat:(

Love the humour of the daddy for the wrong shorts in his cupboard!

Sounds very familiar! My husband has discovered all of a sudden that he can run. He's turned into bloody Forrest Gump! He's about to do his first half marathon. And I'm about to watch my first one!

22/7 looks less intimidating, but either way, you should be glad the kids are able to apply their maths knowledge to a practical situation.

Yan - you still look slim and svelte. I guess, its much harder for us ladies.

Roaring housewife - guess what? My husband did broach the subject of a half marathon. Guess, I may end up meeting you in Boston or NY for their famed marathons ...eventually!!

Doc - I told them 22/7, but I guess they wanted to show off their knowledge of pi ... they tell me they can rattle off at least up to 10 decimal places O.o!

bp - yes, bp, he felt that it was a great opportunity for him, and we are praying that everything works out well in the end.

Congrats on your hub's new job! Glad he had time to renew himself & bond with the family before the new challenge. Oh yes we've been missing you on blogger, but your bakes and kuihs are exciting on FB! Exciting/torturing? Hmm...

Your hubby has done really well! 15 pounds! Three whole months with him at home? If it was me, I would've left the kids with him and go gallivanting, preferably overseas. LOL!

iml - he's now able to wear back some of those clothes that he out grew, but yes! time to go shopping ... me too!

Stardust - I am sorry if I have tortured you too much with those photos. :P

Jomel - we would have loved to do a LOT of travelling, BUT I have a son doing his PSLE this year, and we thought that we should show him some support. We even considered if he could take up the job next year so that we could take advantage of the 3 months, BUT they couldnt wait that long for him :P
